Angelin Tsachev Executive Member and CEO, ESO

Angel Tsachev graduated in Electronics and Automation at the Technical University of Sofia in 1999. In the following years, he has been employed in private sector management and as an electrical engineer in his hometown of Targovishte. He has been working for five years as Head of Substations in Electrical Engineering Management in Targovishte. Since 2011, he has begun to apply his expertise to Trafoelectroinvest to the National Electric Company, where he heads a department involved in the construction of power lines. After the establishment of ESO in a separate company and its separation from NEK Trafoelektroinvest becomes part of the structure of the independent transmission operator. Angelin Tsachev continues to contribute to the construction and quality maintenance of the country's electricity grid as Head of Investor Control Department in the Investor Control and Site Preparation Department at ESO. From February 2018 he became CEO and member of the Managing Board of the Electricity System Operator.
