Iliyana Tsanova Deputy Managing Director of European Fund for Strategic Investments

Iliyana Tsanova is born in 1976 in Sofia. She is a Master of Science in Finance from University of National and World Economy and perceives a further specialization in Finance Management in George Washington University, USA.

From 2006 to 2013 works in the headquarters of EBRD, London, and takes the position of Senior Banker in Municipal Infrastructure and Environment Department. As a representative of EBRD, Ilyana Tsanova was a consultant for restructuring of public association for communal services, creating of regulatory organs in the water sector and the structuring of public and private partnerships.

In October 2015, Tsanova is elected from the members of the European Parliament for Deputy Managing Director of European Fund for Strategic Investments, also known as the Juncker Plan.
